Carnival on Friday!!! Carnival on Friday!!!
The first annual 8 South Carnival will be held on Friday from 3:30 to 5:30. Student booths are planned and they are putting on the final touches. Parents, please feel free to stop by. Bring younger children or chaperone a small group of elementary students around.
We have our first products from the garden. Madeleine and Morgan pulled a beautiful radish out this afternoon. Several accidental radishes were also pulled (early) and tasted.
Some were yummy. Some were bitter.
Literacy:
We started reading Act II of The Miracle Worker and learned some new vocabulary.
Homework:
Read your independent reading book. When you finish a book, start a new one, but, before you do, POST to COL under your class’s BOOK BINGE! It’s a class versus class challenge and, apparently, 5-6B is favored to win. However, we all know that the underdog sometimes emerges triumphant, to the surprise of all! Prizes will be awarded to the winning class during the last week of school.
