Educational Resources

Here is a short list of resources available to students at Wydown should they feel the need for a little extra help. We strongly encourage you to ask your teacher to make special arrangements as well.

Think Tank

Think Tank is offered after school and, while they are encouraged to sign up for regular attendance, they may also drop in as needed. For 8th graders, Think Tank is open Tues., Wed., and Thur. from 3:15 to 4:10 in room 213.

Math Think Tank

Math Think Tank is available Tues., Wed., and Thurs. mornings from 7:45 to 8:15 in room 105. Help is also available Monday and Friday mornings.

Writing Think Tank

Writing Think Tank is available Tues., Wed., and Thurs. mornings from 7:45-8:15 in the Library Computer Classroom and Tues., Wed., Thurs. afternoons from 3:15-4:10 in room 213.

Tech Center, Library, and Computer Lab

These resources are open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays after school. Students wishing to use the library before school need to get a pass from a librarian. If they choose to use the library during school they need a pass from their teacher.

Making It Happen

Making It Happen is an after-school tutorial program offered that includes working with a college tutor, special “school community building” field trips, and other enrichment activities.

Each of these resource books are available in the school bookstore for $17.00 each. For an ancient history resource book, Mr. Baugh is currently selling copies of his autobiography.
